Specifications of the lubrication system

The lubrication system works under pressure. The oil from the engine crankcase under the action of vacuum through the strainer of the oil receiver is supplied to the gear-type oil pump with internal gearing and an eccentric drive gear, which is driven directly from the crankshaft. The oil filter is connected in series with the main engine oil line. It has a bypass valve that allows crude oil to pass into the oil line when the filter element is clogged. In this case, oil is supplied under pressure to the main bearings of the crankshaft and to the connecting rod bearings through the channels of the cylinder head to the camshaft bearings.

Oil pump

The oil pump is installed in the front cover of the cylinder block. The pressure relief valve is located in the oil pump cover.

The oil pressure warning lamp in the instrument cluster goes out when the oil pressure in the system is 0.15-0.45 kg/cm.

Oil pressure at a crankshaft speed of 2000 rpm and an oil temperature of 80°C, not less than, kg/cm: 2+0.2.

Gap between the ends of the gears and the plane of the pump housing, mm: 0.03-0.06.

Gap between gear teeth, mm: 0-0.13.

Engine oil

Lubrication system capacity, l: 3.5 (including 0.5 l in oil filter).

Oil used: according to SAE 5W20, 10W40, 15W50, 20W40; API SE.

Oil change interval: every 15,000 km with oil filter change.
