The torque converter is mounted on the splines of the oil pump and turbine shafts, so when installing, pay special attention to the position of the torque converter in the crankcase:
- check the correct installation of the oil pump shaft, the splined part of which must be docked with the turbine shaft almost without a gap;
- install the torque converter on the shafts with slight turns in both directions, inserting it into the spline connection;
- check drowning «A» (see diagram) torque converter in the crankcase, which should be about 30 mm when measured between the plane of the crankcase and the end face of the mounting lug of the torque converter housing.
