Removing
Place the car on a lift.
Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
Remove the upper bolts securing the gearbox to the engine block.
Disconnect the flexible speedometer drive shaft from the gearbox.
Depending on the modification, loosen the clutch cable and disconnect it from the lever on the gearbox or remove the clutch slave cylinder from the gearbox housing without disconnecting the clutch hydraulic hose from the cylinder.
On vehicles with 5-cylinder engines, install a stand under the front of the engine. Remove air filter.
On vehicles with 4-cylinder engines, remove the upper engine mount bracket.
Detach the front muffler pipe from the exhaust manifold flange and bracket on the gearbox.
Remove the exhaust pipe from the mufflers.
Remove starter.
Disconnect the front wheel drive shafts from the differential output flanges.
On vehicles with 5-cylinder engines, disconnect the steering linkage from the steering gear.
Disconnect the electrical wires from the gearbox.
Remove the lower clutch housing cover.
Disconnect the link rod from the gearshift lever,
Disconnect the ball head and remove the shift lever.
Place the gearbox on a jack or stand.
Unscrew the bolts securing the silent blocks of the gearbox cross member to the body and gearbox housing.
Remove the silent block located on the side of the gearbox.
Remove the transmission front suspension bracket.
Loosen the lower gearbox-to-engine bolts.
Separate gearbox from engine.
Remove the gearbox from the vehicle.
Installation
Before installing the gearbox, make sure that the clutch disc is properly centered and also apply a thin layer of grease to the splines of the gearbox input shaft.
Place the gearbox on a jack or stand.
Put the gearbox in place.
Install and tighten the lower gearbox-to-engine bolts.
Install the transmission mount brackets.
Install the shift linkage and shift fork drive lever without tightening the fasteners.
Install the lower clutch housing cover.
Install the wheel drives on the flanges of the differential output shafts, tighten the mounting bolts to the required torque.
On vehicles with 5-cylinder engines, attach the tie rod carrier to the steering gear.
Install the exhaust pipe of the mufflers, laying a new gasket between the flanges.
Install starter.
On vehicles with 4-cylinder engines, install the front engine mount bracket.
On vehicles with 5-cylinder engines, install the air filter and remove the stand from under the engine.
Connect the clutch cable to the clutch release fork lever and adjust the clutch actuator.
Attach the flexible speedometer drive shaft.
Install and tighten the upper gearbox-to-engine bolts.
Tighten the nuts of the bolts securing the silent blocks of the gearbox suspension to the body.
Adjust the gearshift drive.
Connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery.

1 - clutch housing;
2 - gearbox housing;
3 — a back cover of a transmission;
4 - plug of the rear cover of the gearbox housing;
5 - differential box cover;
6 - locking ring of the rear bearing of the secondary shaft;
7 - gaskets;
8 - stuffing box.
