Note: vehicles with engines from 79 kW (107 hp) the front are equipped with brake discs with internal ventilation, while the rest of the models are equipped with monolithic brake discs.
Loosen wheel bolts. Raise the car. Remove wheel.
Measure the brake disc thickness. Workshops use a special caliper or micrometer for this, since a shoulder forms on the brake disc during operation. The thickness of the brake disc can also be measured with a conventional caliper, but then a rigid gasket must be placed on each side of the disc (for example, two coins of denomination of 50 kopecks). In order to obtain the thickness of the brake disc, the thickness of the pads must be subtracted from the measured size.
Attention: The measurement must be carried out at several points on the brake disc.

If the wear limit is reached, replace the brake discs.
If there are large cracks or grooves with a depth of more than 0.5 mm, replace the brake discs.
