In the presence of scratches and rust cavities, replace the wheel brake cylinder as a set.

Insert with grease for brake cylinders; sealing lip faces wheel brake cylinder housing

Insert with brake cylinder lubricant.

Removing
Remove brake pads.
Loosen, but do not remove, the union nut of the brake pipe.
Unscrew the 2 bolts securing the wheel brake cylinder on the rear side of the brake shield.
Installation
Put a rag under the brake shield.
Remove the nut from the brake pipe and immediately screw it onto the new wheel brake cylinder. This ensures that only a small part of the brake fluid leaks out.
Install brake cylinder bolts and tighten to 10 Nm.
The union nut of the brake pipe can be easily tightened with an open end wrench to a torque of 5 Nm.
Install brake pads. Attention: For both wheel brake pistons, the side with the notch for fitting the brake pad must face outward towards the viewer.
Remove air from the brake system.
