First 1000 kilometers
The main rule is:
- do not give full throttle,
- do not drive at a speed higher than 3/4 of the maximum,
- avoid high and very low speeds,
- If possible, avoid driving with a trailer and with a heavy load.
Attention: New tires also need to be run in, because. initially they do not have optimal traction. This should be taken into account for the first 100 km.
Attention: New brake pads "lap" during the first 200 km - only after that they provide maximum braking performance. Slightly reduced brake action during the break-in period can be compensated for by pressing the brake pedal harder. This should also be taken into account when replacing the brake pads in the future.
1000 to 1500 kilometers
At this stage, gradually (not right away!) you can increase the speed and engine speed to the maximum.
Always (both during the break-in and after it)
Never give a high speed to a cold engine - neither at idle nor with a gear engaged. All vehicle speed and engine speed data refer to a warm engine.
Do not drive unnecessarily at too high speeds - timely shifting to the next gear saves fuel, reduces noise and protects the environment.
You should not drive at too low speeds - shift to a lower gear in a timely manner, because at low speeds the load on the internal parts of the engine increases.
After break-in
On vehicles with a tachometer, the maximum permissible engine speed is indicated by the beginning of the red zone on the scale. The tachometer needle should not fall into this zone.
The revolutions marked in some models with a shaded red zone are allowed for a short time in exceptional cases (for example, when overtaking).
Device installed on the engine: maximum speed limits Too high speeds are automatically corrected.
