1 - Nameplate and identification number
Located next to the right in the moisture trap box, just behind the rubber seal. They are visible through the window of the moisture trap box.
There is no nameplate for certain exporting countries.
2 - Engine number
It is located in the engine compartment between the engine block and the cylinder head. On four-cylinder engines, the number is visible from the front.
Additionally, the engine number can be found on a barcode sticker on the toothed belt guard.
On six-cylinder engines, the number is visible when viewed from the front right between the suspension strut mount and the air filter.
On these engines, the barcode sticker is located on the right side in the direction of travel on the cylinder head cover.
Vehicle data plate
Adhered on Limousine models on the latch plate on the rear left in the trunk. On Variant models, it is located at the rear left in the spare wheel compartment.
The sticker contains the following information about the car:
- 1 - Production number
- 2 - Vehicle identification number
- 3 - Type designation
- 4 - Engine type/power
- 5 - Letters indicating the type of engine and transmission
- 6 - Body color number / symbol of internal equipment
- 7 - Symbol for additional equipment.
Items 2-7 are also found in the maintenance plan.
