This has the advantage that disturbing vibrations are transmitted to a lesser extent to the gearshift lever and to the interior of the vehicle, and vibrations of the aggregates do not have any effect on gear changes. In addition, the gear shifter is virtually maintenance-free.
When the gear is engaged, lateral movement (gear selection) in neutral and the actual shifting movement are different. Each movement along a separate cable is transmitted to the gearbox shift control shaft. In this case, the cable link turns the gearshift control shaft around the axis, while the cable link of the gear selection rearranges the shaft guide lever along its axis.
- A - cable traction gears
For transmission of the closing movement, see guide arrow -A-.
- B - cable traction gear selection
For transmission of the gear selection movement, see direction arrow -B-.
- C - front heat shield
Maintains the cable ties in a certain position, dismantle before removing the gearshift drive.
