Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal. Clamp the hoses of the heater radiator in the engine compartment with clamps. Disconnect the hoses from the radiator and drain the coolant from the heater system. Remove the instrument panel as above (pic. 9-35). Remove the heater blower as described above. Remove the upper trim of the pedals and air ducts. Remove the heater assembly with control. Remove heater core.
The heater core is installed in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- pay attention to the correct installation of the removed nodes to prevent their vibration and creaking;
- make sure that the heater control operates properly, without jamming;
- restore the normal level of coolant in the engine cooling system and interior heater, remove air from the system.
