Starting a gasoline carburetor engine
Cold engine. Press the accelerator pedal once to failure. At an ambient temperature below 0°C, press the pedal twice.
Turn on starter. If the engine does not start after 10 seconds of starter operation, turn off the ignition, wait 30 seconds and try to start again.
At high negative ambient temperatures for some time, maintain a stable idle speed by pressing the accelerator pedal.
Hot engine. When turning on the starter, gently press the accelerator pedal to failure and release it immediately after starting the engine.
Overheated engine. Fully depress the accelerator pedal without pumping and leave it in this position.
Turn on starter.
Release the pedal as soon as the engine starts.
Starting a gasoline engine with an injection system
Cold or hot engine. Turn on the starter without pressing the accelerator pedal. At ambient temperatures below 0°C, disengage the clutch before engaging the starter.
