Ventilation and heating control
The controls located on the center console are made in the form of three rotary handles (pic. 21).
Pic. 21. Ventilation and heating controls: ZS - rear window heating switch; K - handle for adjusting the amount of incoming air and switching fan speeds; PT - fog light switch: P - handle for distributing incoming air; T - air temperature control knob: 1 - air supply to the central and side ventilation nozzles; 2 - air supply to the central and side ventilation nozzles and to the legs; 3 - air supply to the legs and partially to the ventilation nozzles and nozzles for blowing the windows of the front doors; 4 - air supply for blowing the windshield and front door windows and partially to the ventilation nozzles.
The middle handle T regulates the temperature of the incoming air. In the extreme left position of the handle, cold air is supplied. The air temperature increases as the knob is turned to the right.
The left knob K regulates the amount of incoming air. When the handle is between positions 0 and 1, the amount of incoming air depends on the speed of the vehicle. Positions 1, 2, 3 and 4 correspond to four different heater fan speeds. To completely cut off the supply of outside air (e.g. when driving in a tunnel) the handle is set to position 0.
The right handle P regulates the distribution of air, as shown in fig. 21.
An example of using the controls: to blow and heat the windshield and front door windows, set the handle K to position 3, and turn the handles T and P clockwise to the full.
Rear window heating
The rear window heating element is switched on by the ZS switch (pic. 21).
WARNING: Due to the high current consumption, the heated rear window should only be switched on when the engine is running and switched off immediately after the window has been cleaned. In order not to damage the heating element, do not clean the inside of the rear window with any hard object.
