Switch off the ignition. Disconnect the electro-hydraulic pilot pressure regulator connector. Connect test cord 1 (pic. 2-208) VAG 1315 A / 1 and adapter wires to the terminals of the regulator block and connecting block. Attach a tester to the adapter wires. Turn on the ignition. At the same time, the tester (in ammeter mode) should show the current value in the range of 90-110 mA. Start the engine and increase the engine speed to 3000 rpm. then abruptly close the throttle. In this case, the device should show a negative voltage control current.
