Integrated engine management system «DIGIFANT»

Vehicles with engines «RV» and «2E» equipped with an integrated engine management system (KSUD) «Digifant» Volkswagen company. KSUD is designed to control fuel injection and ignition timing (UOP). Functionally, it consists of two subsystems: fuel injection control and UOZ control. Both systems are interconnected and work synchronously with the main cycle of the engine. Synchronization of the subsystem operation is carried out by the controller according to the signals from the sensors. A single controller for both subsystems, based on information from the sensors, in accordance with the program stored in the memory, controls the actuators, while automatically optimizing the PTO, the amount and timing of fuel supply, depending on the engine operating mode. In the event of a malfunction of some sensors, the controller switches to a backup control program based on signals from the air flow meter, coolant temperature sensor and knock sensor. This allows you to continue driving the car, excluding engine failure. Structural scheme of KSUD «Digifant» shown in fig. 2-84.
