Checking the performance of the idle speed solenoid valve is carried out on a warm engine (oil temperature not higher than 80°С), with a properly adjusted engine idle, with a working coolant temperature sensor of the fuel injection control subsystem. in the absence of air leakage in the intake tract of the engine.
Turn on the ignition. If the idle speed stabilization valve is working, then it should vibrate and buzz. If it doesn't, disconnect the connector (pic. 2-104) valve and measure the resistance of the valve winding by connecting an ohmmeter to the terminals of the valve block, which for the engine «RV» should be within 3.5-4.5 ohms, for the engine «2E» - 2-10 ohms. If the value obtained does not match this value, the valves must be replaced. Check the continuity of the circuit between the valve and the controller by connecting an ohmmeter to the terminals of the connecting block. If the circuit is damaged, replace the controller. Check valve control current. To do this, connect the terminals of the valve block and the connecting block with jumpers and connect an ammeter to them. Start the engine at idle speed and after about 1 minute increase the engine speed to more than 3000 rpm three times Measure the control current at idle speed, which, depending on the engine load, should be between 400-1000 mA for the engine «RV» and 400-650 mA for motor «2E». Disconnect the fuel injection control subsystem coolant temperature sensor connector and measure the valve control current, which should be within 420±30 mA. If the measured valve control current is not correct, replace the controller.
