To remove, disconnect the wires from the battery. Disconnect all high-voltage wires from the sensor-distributor. Remove the clutch housing manhole cover. Set the piston of the 1st cylinder to the TDC position of the end of the compression stroke. In this case, the mark on the flywheel must be aligned with the mark on the clutch cover (pic. 2-49).
Depending on the equipment, detach the shielding braid. Disconnect the connector from the Hall sensor.
Remove the noise suppression screen and the cover of the ignition distributor.
Disconnect the hose from the vacuum ignition timing regulator.
Remove the mounting bracket and remove the ignition distributor.
To install, make sure that the piston of the 1st cylinder is in the TDC position. Install the locking lug of the oil pump drive shaft parallel to the crankshaft. Install the distributor rotor against the groove on the distributor sensor housing and install the distributor sensor. Install the mounting bracket without tightening the mounting bolt. Install the noise suppression screen and the cover of the distribution sensor.
Connect the hose to the vacuum ignition timing regulator. Connect the high-voltage wires, the Hall sensor connector and the shielding braid to the distribution sensor (if she is). Set the ignition timing as shown below.
