Start and warm up the engine to normal operating temperature. Stop engine. Disconnect the air supply hose from the central injection unit housing and remove the central injection unit housing cover. Start the engine. Check jet spray. The jet of atomized fuel must be continuous and clearly visible against the background of the throttle valve. Increase the engine speed to 3000 rpm, then quickly release the accelerator pedal. In this case, the fuel spray jet should stop for a short time, which corresponds to the forced idling mode. Switch off the ignition. Wipe the spray nozzle dry. The flow of fuel through the nozzle spray should not exceed two drops per minute.
If deviations from the above requirements are found, replace the nozzle. Disconnect connector 2 from connector 1 of the central injection unit (pic. 2-62). Measure the resistance between the middle terminals «2» and «3» pads 1. The resistance of the winding of the solenoid valve of the nozzle at a temperature of 15-30°C should be in the range of 1.2-1.6 Ohm.
If the resistance does not match the required values, replace the nozzle. Connect an LED indicator pump to the middle terminals «2» and «3» pads 2 to connect to the central injection unit and turn on the starter. In this case, the lamp LED should flash. If the LED does not flash, check the injector pull-down resistor as indicated below.
