Checking the idle speed controller

Disconnect the idle speed control connector (pic. 2-57).



Connect an ohmmeter to the leads «1» and «2» regulator pads. The resistance should be in the range of 4-200 ohms. Connect an ohmmeter to the leads «3» and «4» regulator pads: resistance should be 0.5 ohms with the throttle open and equal to infinity with the throttle closed. If the resistance does not match the specified values, replace the idle speed regulator.
