Diesel engines. General information

Four-stroke, four-cylinder in-line transverse diesel engine with right tilt. Diesels «1Y», «RA», «SB», «AA2», prechamber engines «1Z» with undivided combustion chamber (with direct fuel injection). All engines except model «1Y» turbocharged. Engine «AAZ» is a turbocharged modification of the engine «1Y».

Since January 1996, the engine of the model has been installed «AFN» with undivided combustion chamber (with direct fuel injection), with a variable geometry turbocharger, with an air-to-air cooler, with an exhaust gas recirculation system and an exhaust gas catalytic converter. Engine «AFN» similar in design to the diesel model «1Z».
