Removal and installation of the engine

To remove, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Remove the hood. Drain engine oil. Open the cap of the expansion tank of the cooling system.

Disconnect radiator hoses and drain coolant. Disconnect the electric fan connector and remove the radiator. Remove the clutch slave cylinder without disconnecting the hydraulic line, or disconnect the clutch cable (depending on configuration). Remove air filter and power steering pump (depending on configuration). Disconnect the injection pump control cables. Disconnect the hoses of the cooling system and the interior heater from the engine, as well as disconnect the connectors of the electrical equipment components installed on the engine.

Sling the power unit.

Loosen the rear engine mount bracket nut. Loosen the gearbox mount bracket nut. Remove the front engine mount bracket. Disconnect wires from starter and remove starter. Disconnect the front muffler pipe from the exhaust manifold. Remove the power unit by lifting it out of the engine compartment Disconnect the gearbox from the engine.

To install, assemble the gearbox with the engine. Install the engine mount brackets, remove the support from under the gearbox. Install the starter and connect the wires to it. Install the front engine mount bracket. Tighten the nuts securing the other engine mount brackets. Depending on the equipment, install the clutch slave cylinder or connect the clutch cable.

Install, depending on the configuration, the power steering pump. Connect electrical connectors. Connect injection pump control cables. Install the radiator. Connect the hoses of the cooling system and the interior heater. fill the cooling system with liquid.

Depending on equipment, connect oil cooler hoses. Install the air filter. Connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery. Fill the engine with oil, check the coolant level and top up if necessary. Install the hood, start the engine and check its operation.
