Diesel Fast Idle Adjustment «AAZ»

Check for correct idle speed adjustment. Pull out the cold start handle to the first detent position. In this case, the speed should increase by 60 rpm.

Pull the cold start handle all the way out and check the engine speed at fast idle, which should be between 1000-1100 rpm.

If the speed deviates from the norm, loosen the locknuts of the fast idle adjusting screw 3 (pic. 3-41). pull the cold engine start handle to failure and turn the screw to achieve the required crankshaft speed, then tighten the lock nut of the adjusting screw.
