Replacement of protective covers of external hinges of shafts of a drive of forward wheels

Remove the protective boot clamps and slide the boot along the shaft.

Compress the inner joint from the shaft with blows of a hammer with an aluminum striker. Remove the circlip, thrust ring, spring washer and protective boot.

Put a new protective cover on the wheel drive shaft. Slide the spring washer onto the shaft with the concave side towards the thrust ring. Slide the circlip onto the shaft and install a new circlip.

Clean the inner joint of the wheel drive shaft and put 90 g of grease into it. Press the inner joint onto the shaft by blowing a hammer with an aluminum striker on the end of the joint. Slide the protective cover back into place and secure it with two new tie-down straps.
