Checking the oil level in the gearbox

Park the vehicle on a level, level surface. Apply the parking brake. Set selector lever to position «R». Start the engine at idle speed, remove the gearbox oil dipstick and note the oil level. When the engine is cold, the oil level should be at «20°С». Let the engine run for about 10 minutes to warm up the gearbox to normal operating temperature of about 60°C, then check the oil level again, which should be at the 60°C mark. Top up the oil if necessary.

Warning. Insufficient or high oil level interferes with the normal operation of the gearbox. Therefore, the oil level should be checked regularly.
