Until the 1989 model year, 4-speed gearboxes with the ALA, ARC, ALC indices and 5-speed gearboxes with the AFE, AFF, AGC, ASA indices were installed on cars. ASB, AYH, AYK. The types of gearboxes that have been fitted to vehicles since 1989 are shown in Table 4-2. Gearbox ratios are shown in Table 4-3.
* In parentheses is the time of release of the car.
* From model year 1989.
** Prior to MY 1989.
*** The numerator indicates the values for the CP with «short-stroke» gear lever, in the denominator - with «long-stroke».
**** Installed instead of gearbox 02A CNL on vehicles with engine «2E».
In gearboxes from August 31, 1992 (in KP «CGX» release since November 30, 1992) grooves for crackers in the sliding clutch and in the blocking rings of the synchronizer of I and II gears have reduced dimensions.
Marking of blocking rings of the synchronizer of I and II transfers.
1st gear synchronizer blocking ring:
- new design: every fourth tooth has half the height;
- previous design: every fourth tooth is missing.
2nd gear synchronizer blocking ring:
- new design: every fourth or third tooth has half the height;
- previous design: all teeth are present or every third tooth is missing.
Differences between the blocking rings of the synchronizer of I and II gears:
- 1st gear synchronizer blocking ring: without grooves;
- 2nd gear synchronizer blocking ring: three grooves.
It is possible to install a new design sliding sleeve and blocking rings together in old gearboxes.
Since September 1992, gear levers with a rubber protective boot and a redesigned guide sleeve have been installed on vehicles manufactured since September 1992. The diameter of the sleeve of the protective cover has been increased from 22 to 26 mm.
The protective cover and guide sleeve of the new design of the gear lever can be installed on older vehicles.
To adjust the preload of the output shaft bearings, rings with a thickness of 0.65 (0.5mm for 1995-96 vehicles) up to 1.40 mm with an interval of every 0.05 mm.
Differential. Starting with gearbox no. 13 099, the diameter of the bolts for fastening the final drive gear to the differential box has been increased to 11 mm.
