Trunk lock

Elements of fastening of the trunk lock

• 1 - lock cylinder bracket,
• 2 - nut, 7 Nm,
• 3 - bar,
• 4 - handle,
• 5 - clamps,
• 6 - blind nuts,
• 7 - base for license plate,
• 8 - lock,
• 9 - lever,
• 10 - nut, 7 Nm,
• 11 - executive engine of the central locking system,
• 12 - thrust,
• 13 - hinge,
• 14 - lever

Warning: The lock cylinder can only be removed together with bracket 1.

Warning: Installation of blind nuts 6 is carried out using special pliers VW-1765A for riveting blind nuts.

Warning: To set the rod 12 to the stop, move the lever 14 and insert the rod.

Removing

1. Remove the bracket together with the lock cylinder.

2. Loosen two nuts (2) and remove the handle plate (3).

3. Remove the luggage compartment trim.

4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the trunk lock.

5. Release the tie rod (12).

6. Unscrew the nuts and remove the lock from the trunk lid.

7. Unscrew the central locking motor and remove it from the trunk lid.
