Order of execution
1. Close the hood and check its position relative to adjacent surfaces. Adjust the position of the hood so that when the hood is closed, the gap around the perimeter of the hood is the same on all sides. To adjust, loosen the hood hinge bolts and move the hood to adjust its position. After adjustment, tighten the hood hinge bolts. If necessary, adjust the gap by changing the position of the front fenders of the car.
2. Bolts of fastening of hinges of a cowl tighten the moment of 25 Nm.
3. To adjust the front part of the hood in height, mark the location of the hood lock bolts with a felt-tip pen and loosen the bolts. By moving the hood latch to the appropriate side along the bracket, adjust the height of the hood installation. Tighten the hood lock bolts to 10 Nm.
4. Check that the rubber buffers support the front of the hood when the hood is closed. Otherwise, adjust the height of the rubber buffers by turning them in the appropriate direction.
5. Check the installation height of the rubber buffers as follows. Open the hood and glue pieces of plasticine on top of the rubber buffers. Close and reopen the hood. Measure the thickness of the deformed plasticine pieces. If necessary, unscrew the rubber buffers to the required distance.
6. Check that the hood fits correctly on the side rails.
