Handbrake cable adjuster
- A - direction of rotation of the adjusting sleeve,

Removing
1. Loosen the rear wheel bolts, then raise the rear of the vehicle and secure it on stands. Remove rear wheels.
2. Remove the front section of the heat shield.
3. Unscrew the nuts and move the main section of the heat shield forward, see fig. Exhaust heat shield location.
4. Loosen the handbrake cables.
5. Remove the retainer (D), see fig. Handbrake cable adjuster.
6. Use a 13 mm wrench to hold the regulator flange from turning and unscrew the adjusting sleeve until it stops.
7. Expand the handbrake cable sheaths.
8. Remove the bracket that secures the handbrake cable sheath to the rear brake caliper.
9. Disconnect the handbrake cable from the handbrake lever on the caliper. When doing this, be careful not to damage the protective cover of the handbrake.
10. Release the handbrake cables from the retainers on the rear suspension beam.
11. Remove the wheel speed sensor wire from the mounting brackets.
12. Unscrew the nuts securing the heat shield to the sound insulation and move the heat shield to the side.
13. Using a screwdriver blade, remove the retaining clips and release the handbrake cable.
14. Using a screwdriver, remove the handbrake cable from the console.
15. Remove decorative finishing of a back part of the central console.
16. Use a screwdriver to push the handbrake cable down through the hole in the base of the handbrake lever and disconnect it from the handbrake lever.
17. Remove the handbrake cables.
Installation
1. Before installing the handbrake cables, replace the plastic parts on the handbrake cable compensator.
2. Using a screwdriver blade, through the hole in the base of the handbrake lever, secure the handbrake cable compensator from turning.
3. Through the console, fix the spherical head in the handbrake cable compensator.
4. Attach the handbrake cable to the console.
5. Attach the handbrake cables to the rear brake calipers and secure with clips.
6. Attach the handbrake cable to the rear beam.
7. Install the center console rear trim.
8. Replace and screw the heat shield to the thermal insulation.
9. Clip the wheel speed sensor wire.
10. Screw on the heat shield.
11. Install the rear wheels, then lower the vehicle to the ground. Tighten the wheel bolts diagonally to 120 Nm.
