Location of the bracket for attaching the ABS sensor wire (arrow)
- 1 - fastening the inner end of the drive shaft
Elements of the top fastening of a rotary fist
- 1 - nut,
- 2 - upper transverse levers,
- 3, 4 - tie rod mount
Removing
1. Loosen the front wheel bolts, then raise the front of the vehicle and secure it on stands. Remove the front wheels.
2. Remove the rubber inserts from the drain channel.
3. Unscrew the two nuts of the upper mounting of the suspension strut, while not damaging the protective coating of the brake pipes.
4. Remove the ABS sensor wire from the bracket on the brake caliper, see fig. Location of the bracket for attaching the ABS sensor wire (arrow).
5. Unscrew the nut (1), remove the bolt and pull up to remove the upper control arms (2) from the steering knuckle, see fig. Elements of the top fastening of a rotary fist.
Warning: Do not expand the slots in the steering knuckle when removing the upper transverse arms. It is forbidden to unscrew the bolts securing the tie rod to the steering knuckle, otherwise it will be necessary to adjust the angles of the front wheels (3 and 4), see fig. Elements of the top fastening of a rotary fist.
6. Tilt the top of the steering knuckle to the side (arrow), see fig. Elements of the top fastening of a rotary fist.
7. Unscrew the nut and remove the bolt of the lower suspension strut to the lower transverse arm.
8. Using caution, remove the shock strut from under the front fender. At the same time, do not damage the protective cover of the constant-velocity joint of the drive shaft.
Installation
Location of the hole in the spring seat
- 1 - a nut of the bottom fastening of an amortization rack,
- 2 - bolt fixing the upper transverse levers
1. Establish an amortization rack so that the aperture in a nest of a spring was located from the inside, see fig. The location of the hole in the spring seat.
2. Install the suspension strut lower yoke on the transverse arm and secure with a bolt and nut, tightening them to a torque of 90 Nm.
3. Install the upper transverse arms against the stop in the steering knuckle and secure them with a bolt and nut, tightening them with a torque of 40 Nm (2), see fig. The location of the hole in the spring seat.
4. Attach the ABS sensor wire to the brake caliper bracket.
5. Secure the upper part of the suspension strut with nuts, tightening them to 20 Nm, but do not damage the protective coating of the brake pipes.
6. Install the rubber inserts in the gutter.
7. Apply a thin layer of grease to the shoulder of the hub that centers the wheel disc. Install the wheel and secure it with bolts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel bolts to 120 Nm.
