Oil level on the dipstick
- a - minimum,
- b - normal,
- c - maximum
The location of the MAX and MIN·marks on the dipstick for measuring the oil level
Preliminary actions
Park the vehicle on a level, level ground.
Check the engine oil level before starting the engine, but not earlier than 5 minutes after turning off the engine.
Oil
Fill the engine with engine oil only specified by the manufacturer.
The handle of the dipstick for measuring the oil level is painted in a bright color.
After stopping the engine, wait 5 minutes for the oil to drain into the oil pan.
Then remove the dipstick, wipe it with a clean cloth and insert the dipstick again until it stops.
Finally, remove the dipstick again and see what level the oil is at:
- a - oil must be added. It is quite acceptable that the oil level after topping up was in the mark zone (b).
- b - oil can be topped up. It may happen that the oil level after topping up will be in the mark zone (With).
- c - oil should not be added.
Under particularly difficult engine operating conditions, for example, when driving for a long time on a highway in summer, when towing a trailer or when driving slowly in mountains, the oil level should be kept as far as possible in the mark (With), but not higher.
Order of execution
1. Remove the engine oil dipstick (A).
2. Using a clean rag, wipe the dipstick free of oil residue. Insert the dipstick into the engine and remove it again.
3. Determine the engine oil level, which should be between the MIN and MAX marks on the dipstick. The amount of oil between the MIN and MAX marks is 1 liter.
4. Remove the oil filler cap and fill the required amount of oil into the engine.
