Checking the brake hoses

Brake pipes and hoses are used to transfer brake fluid from the master brake cylinder to the wheel brake cylinders.

Brake hoses provide movable connections between the moving and stationary parts of the car.



When bending the brake hose, check for hidden cracks that cannot always be detected by simple inspection.

When installing a new brake pipe or brake hose, make sure they are firmly secured in the brackets and are well away from moving or hot parts.
