The automatic control system, when the ignition is on and while driving, constantly monitors the performance of certain functions and the condition of individual vehicle components.
Malfunctions, as well as the urgent need for certain repairs or maintenance, are signaled by a sound signal and, depending on the degree of importance of the violation or necessary repair, a red or yellow light icon on the instrument cluster.
In addition, a text message appears on the display to confirm red or yellow light pictograms.
These text messages in the illustrations in this manual are in German. Text messages and related driver instructions may also be in one of the following languages, depending on the country for which the vehicle is prepared: English, French, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese.
