Pic. 6.6. Brake expansion tank cap
Unscrew the cap 1 of the expansion tank of the brake system (pic. 6.6).
Pic. 6.7. Pumping out brake fluid
Use a hose to pump out as much brake fluid as possible from the brake filler and bleeder (pic. 6.7).
Note: The screen filter of the expansion tank of the brake system must not be removed from the tank.
Caution: Do not reuse drained brake fluid
Pic. 6.8. Installing the adapter
Screw the adapter 1 to the expansion tank of the brake system (pic. 6.8).
Install the brake pedal stop between the driver's seat and the brake pedal and lock it.
Connect the hose from the brake filler and bleeder or from the brake filler and bleeder to the adapter.
Note: Use the correct bleed hose. It must be firmly attached to the bleeder valve so that no air enters the brake system.
Pic. 6.9. bleed hose
Place the bleeder hose 1 on the front left bleeder, open the bleeder and bleed the appropriate amount of brake fluid (see table) (pic. 6.9).
Screw the fitting.
Repeat these operations on the right side of the car in front.
Unscrew both wheels on the rear axle to gain access to the bleeder fittings.
Remove the plugs from the caliper bleeder fittings.
Pic. 6.10. Exhaust hose installation
Put the exhaust hose of 1 canister of the evacuation device on the rear left bleeder port (pic. 6.10).
Open the bleeder valve and release the appropriate amount of brake fluid (see table). Screw the fitting.
Repeat the described operations on the right rear caliper.
For vehicles with manual transmission
Remove the air filter housing.
Attach the hose to the clutch slave cylinder bleeder port.
Open the fitting and release about 100 ml of brake fluid.
Close the fitting and quickly press the clutch pedal 10-15 times in a row.
Open the bleeder again and let out about 50 ml of brake fluid.
Close the fitting, remove the hose and press the clutch pedal several times.
Reinstall the air filter housing in reverse order.
Total volume: about 1.15L
Place caps on bleeder fittings.
Move the lever of the brake filler and bleeder or the brake filler and bleeder to position «B».
Remove the hose from the adapter.
Unscrew the adapter from the expansion tank of the brake system.
Check the brake fluid level and correct it if necessary.
Screw cap on 1 expansion tank (pic. 6.6).
Remove the brake pedal stop.
Check pedal pressure and brake pedal free play. Free travel: maximum 1/3 pedal travel.
