General instructions
Unleaded petrol must comply with DIN EN 228.
If only fuel with a lower octane rating than required for the given engine is available, the vehicle must only be driven at medium engine speed and reduced engine load. A heavy load on the engine due to fully depressing the accelerator pedal can lead to engine damage. As soon as possible, the fuel tank should be immediately topped up with gasoline of sufficient octane rating.
You can unlimitedly use gasoline with a higher octane rating than is required for this engine. However, this does not give any gain in either engine power or fuel consumption.
Caution: Vehicles equipped with a catalytic converter should only be run on unleaded gasoline.
Attention: Only one filling of the fuel tank with leaded gasoline leads to a subsequent decrease in the efficiency of the catalytic converter.
Additives for gasoline
The smooth running, power and durability of the engine are decisively determined by the quality of the fuel. Additives added to the fuel are of particular importance here (additives). Therefore, it is recommended to refuel the car only with high-quality gasoline with additives.
If such gasoline is not available or there are violations in the operation of the engine, it is necessary to mix the necessary additives with fuel when refueling the car. These additives have an anti-corrosion effect, clean the parts of the fuel supply system and remove various kinds of deposits in the engine.
Not all additives that are offered on the market have proven to be effective enough.
Do not mix other gasoline additives.
