Overload protection action
If something prevents the movement of the glass when closing the window of one of the doors (any object or just heavy glass movement), the overload protection is activated and the window immediately reopens.
After the window has opened, within 10 seconds, once again raise or press the switch of the corresponding window and hold it. If the window does not close due to the difficulty of moving the glass or due to the presence of any obstacle, the glass stops in an intermediate position.
After the glass has stopped, it is necessary to act on the switch again within 5 seconds to close the window. The window will now close without overload protection.
Operation of the power windows when the ignition is off
The power windows are still operational for 10 minutes after the ignition is turned off, while none of the front doors has been opened.
When the front windows are closed, the fully automatic window lift does not work.
If the movement of the glass when closing the window of one of the front doors is difficult or obstructed, the window immediately reopens (overload protection).
In this case, the window can be closed only by turning on the ignition.
On vehicles with central locking, the windows can also be closed or opened from the outside. To do this, you only need to hold the key in the driver's door lock in the lock or unlock position.
After disconnecting and then connecting the battery of a car with electric windows, the automatic lowering and lifting of the windows of the front doors ceases to function.
In order to restore the operation of automation, it is necessary to carry out the following operations.
Lock the vehicle from the outside with the driver's door lock. At the same time, make sure that all doors and windows are completely closed.
Unlock and relock the vehicle using the driver's door lock. While doing this, hold the key in the locked position for at least one second.
Automatic lifting and lowering of the windows of the front windows will again work.
