Unlocking when individual door unlock mode is on
To unlock the vehicle, while within the range of the remote control, point the radio key at the vehicle and briefly press the unlock button 1 once.
Now only one driver's door is unlocked. The self-locking system and the security alarm system* are immediately turned off, which is accompanied by a short flash of all direction indicators.
Pressing the unlock button 1 twice will unlock all vehicle locks.
Self-locking and burglar alarm system* are switched off.
Unlocking the trunk lid
Point the radio key at the vehicle, press and hold button 3 for about three seconds. The trunk lid will be unlocked.
Make sure that you do not accidentally unlock the trunk lid by inattention. The unlocked boot lid can only be locked manually, it is not locked automatically.
Synchronization
If the car is not unlocked by pressing the corresponding button on the radio key, it must be assumed that the codes of the radio key and the control unit on the car no longer match. This can happen if the control buttons were previously pressed frequently outside the system's coverage area.
It is necessary to re-synchronize the radio key. The synchronization process should last no more than 1 minute and is as follows:
- 1 - press once for approximately one second either the unlock button 1 or the lock button 2 of the remote control radio key. The car remains locked. However, the control unit recognizes the existing fixed code;
- 2 - once unlock or lock the car mechanically using the barb in the radio key;
- 3 - the key bit was identified as a valid mechanical code. At the same time, a new dynamic code was agreed between the radio key and the control unit. The synchronization process has ended.
Additional radio keys can be obtained from a Volkswagen workshop. These radio keys must be synchronized because the anti-theft code must also be entered into the head of the radio keys.
