Removing
Remove soundproofing.
Place an oil drainer under the engine and drain the engine oil.
Note: Follow the disposal regulations.
Disconnect the plug from the oil level and temperature sensor.
Remove the oil pan/gearbox connecting bolts.
Unscrew the oil pan.
If necessary, remove the oil pan by lightly tapping it with a rubber mallet.
Remove any remaining sealant on the cylinder block with a flat scraper.
Remove sealant residue from the oil sump using a rotating brush attachment, such as a hand drill with a set of plastic bristle brush attachments.
Clean the seating surfaces. They must be free of oil and grease.
Installation
Cut off the tip of the tube at the front mark (hole diameter about 3mm).
Note: Observe the expiration date of the sealant.
Note: The oil pan must be installed within 5 minutes of applying the silicone sealant.
Apply silicone sealant as shown to the clean seating surface of the oil pan. The sealant bead should be 2-3 mm thick.
In places of holes for fixing bolts, apply sealant from the inside.
Note: The thickness of the sealant bead must not exceed the specified value, as excess sealant may enter the oil pan and clog the oil pump oil pickup strainer.
Pic. 2.327. Sealant application scheme
Apply silicone sealant to the clean seating surface of the sealing flange as shown in Figure 2.327. (The figure shows the location of the sealant harness on the cylinder block).
Install the oil pan immediately and lightly tighten all oil pan/gearbox connecting bolts and all oil pan bolts. Watch the Density (tightness) seating the oil pan on the intermediate plate/gearbox flange.
Note: When installing the oil pan with the engine removed, make sure that the oil pan is tightly (hermetically) on the flywheel side of the cylinder block.
Tighten the oil pan bolts crosswise to 15 Nm.
Tighten the oil pan/gearbox bolts to 40 Nm.
Note: After installing the oil pan, allow the sealant to dry for approximately 30 minutes. Only then can you fill in engine oil.
Note: Further installation is carried out in reverse order.
