Removal and installation of the thermostat

Removing

Disconnect the connector from the coolant temperature sensor at the outlet of the radiator.

Note: Gaskets and O-rings must be replaced.

Note: Drain the coolant.

Note: Remove the three-phase generator

Remove the coolant hose from the fitting.

Loosen the fixing bolts 4 of the fitting 3 using the articulated wrench 10, unscrew using the nozzle 5 and remove the fitting 3 with the thermostat 1.

Thermostat 1 1/4 rev. (90°) turn to the left and remove from the connecting fitting 3.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following.

Moisten the new O-ring 2 with coolant.



Install thermostat 1 in connection 3 and make 1/4 rev. (90°) rotate right (pic. 2.335).

Note: The thermostat brackets must be nearly vertical.

Note: Install the connecting fitting 3 with thermostat 1 in the cylinder block.

Tighten the fixing bolts 4 using the articulated wrench 10. Tightening torque 15 Nm.

Fill with coolant.
