Attention: The tandem type pump must never be dismantled, otherwise it will cause the vacuum part to malfunction. The consequence may be the failure of the brake booster.
Removing
Remove the engine cover.

Loosen the screw pull the air filter housing up out of the mount (pic. 2.253).
Remove the air filter housing together with the air mass meter and connecting tube.
Remove supply hose 1 (white marking) and drain hose 2 (blue marking) from the fuel filter.

Connect a hand vacuum pump with accessories with a container for pumping fluid to the fuel drain hose 2 (pic. 2.337).
Press the hand vacuum pump until no more fuel comes out of the fuel drain hose. Be careful not to get fuel into the hand vacuum pump.

Remove vacuum line from brake booster 1 and tandem pump 4 (pic. 2.338).
Remove supply hose 2 (white marking) and fuel drain hose 3 (blue marking) with tandem type pump 4.
Unscrew the fixing bolts.
Remove the tandem pump 4 from the cylinder head.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following.
Note: Be sure to connect the tandem pump and camshaft correctly.
Note: The tandem pump seal must be replaced with a new one.
Install the tandem pump and tighten the upper mounting bolts to 20 Nm.
Tighten the lower fixing bolts with a torque of 10 Nm.
Connect the fuel drain hose (blue marking) to corresponding terminal 3 tandem pumps (pic. 2.338).
Connect the fuel supply hose (white marking) to the corresponding terminal 2 and the vacuum line from the brake booster 1 to the tandem pump 4.
Connect fuel supply hose 1 (white marking) to the fuel filter (pic. 2.337).
Connect a hand vacuum pump with accessories with a container for pumping fluid to the fuel drain hose 2.
Press the hand vacuum pump until no more fuel comes out of the fuel drain hose. Be careful not to get fuel into the hand vacuum pump.
Connect the fuel drain hose (blue marking) to the fuel filter.
