Checking the selector lever cable

To check the easy movement of the selector lever cable, it must be disconnected from the gearbox and the disconnected end laid so that it does not touch anything.

Move the selector to different positions, then reconnect the cable.

After that, it is necessary to adjust the selector lever cable.

Do not lubricate the cable connection.

Set the selector lever to position «R».



Release cable 1 from shift shaft lever 3 using key 2 (pic. 3.84).

Pull the cable out of the support by squeezing the latches.

Move the selector lever several times from the position «R» V «S» and back to position «R».

The selector lever must move freely.

Connect the rope.

Adjust cable.
