Removing the outer CV joint

Clamp the drive shaft in a vise with jaws to prevent damage.

Pull back the boot.



Remove the CV joint from the drive shaft using the barb A (pic. 3.99).

The barb must be installed exactly on the star joint.

Press the shaft in with a plastic hammer until the circlip locks into place.

Pressing the shaft out of the inner CV joint

Using a beard, remove the boot from the hinge.

Remove the snap ring.

Remove both clamps and slide the boot towards the outer CV joint.
