Removal and installation of a starter (gasoline 1.6 and 1.8 l)

Removing

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Disconnect the wiring connector 1 and release it from the retainer (pic. 12.3). Disconnect the wiring connector 2 circuit 50 and wire 3 circuit 30 from the starter solenoid.



3. Unscrew the top bolt 1 (M 12x180mm) (pic. 12.4). Unscrew bottom bolt 2 (M 12x180mm). When installing the starter, tighten the bolts to 65 Nm.

Installation

4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
