Compression test

1. Remove the air filter.

2. Remove the spark plugs.

3. Disconnect the Hall sensor wiring connector.

4. With the help of a second mechanic, press the accelerator pedal to the stop.

5. Check the compression with a VAG 1381 or VAG 1763 tester.

Compression of the new engine AFT, ADZ: 10-13 bar, allowable wear: 7.5 bar.

Compression of the new 1F engine: 9-12 bar, allowable wear: 7 bar.

Permissible difference between cylinders: 3 bar.
