Removing
Remove the brake pads from the brake drum, see relevant chapter.
Loosen the union nut of the brake pipe, do not unscrew the nut completely.
Unscrew the 2 hexagon socket head screws from the back of the brake shield.
Installation
Put a rag under the brake shield.
Loosen the union nut of the brake pipe and immediately screw it onto the new wheel cylinder by hand. This avoids a large loss of brake fluid.
Screw in the wheel brake cylinder mounting bolts and tighten to 8 Nm.
With an open ring wrench, eg HAZET 612N, it is easy to tighten the union nut of the brake pipe. The tightening torque is 5 Nm.
