In addition to the width and diameter of the rim, the depth of the rim is also important when changing. The depth of the nozzle is the dimension from the middle of the rim to the contact surface of the rim on the brake disc or, respectively, on the brake drum.
All disk wheels are made with a hump. The hump is a protrusion pressed onto the rim shelf, which, even during extremely sharp turns of the car, does not allow the tubeless tire to come off the rim.
Attention: Do not insert any tubes into tubeless tires.
Measuring the height of the tread profile
Legislation requires that the allowable profile height of the tread pattern during tire wear be at least 1.6 mm. However, for safety reasons, it is recommended to change summer tires at a profile height of 2 mm and winter tires at a profile height of 4 mm. The profile height of the pattern must be measured in the main grooves of the profile in the most worn areas of the tire. The main grooves of the profile of original tires are determined by wear indicators (TWI). The location of the indicators is marked on the sidewall of the tire in several places at the base of the tread with the letters TWI or a triangle symbol. The wear indicator pad is located at a height of 1.6 mm. Wear indicators should not be used for measurement. The determining factor for the height of the profile is the dimension -P- at the point of the lowest groove profile.
