Caution: System «Cruise control» should not be used in heavy traffic and bad road conditions (slippery, wet road, gravel).
Note. On vehicles with automatic transmission «Cruise control» works only when the selector is in positions D, 3 or 2. In other positions of the selector (P, N, R or 1) the system turns off.
Turning on the system
For driving «cruise control» There are buttons A and B on the multifunction switch lever. To turn on the system, slide button A to the ON position. The indicator on the instrument panel should show that the system is on.
Travel speed selection
Accelerate the vehicle in the normal way by depressing the accelerator pedal. When the desired speed is reached, briefly press button B. Now the foot can be removed from the accelerator pedal. The car will keep the set speed.
Vehicle speed can be increased in the normal way by depressing the accelerator pedal. If the pedal is then released, the previous speed will be restored.
The previous speed may not be restored if the speed was temporarily exceeded by more than 10 km/h and for a period of more than 5 minutes. In this case, the desired speed must be set again.
Caution: Restore speed only if it is not too high for the driving conditions.
Changing the selected speed
To decrease the driving speed, press the lower side of button B. A short press of the button reduces the speed by one programmed step. If you keep the button pressed, the speed will decrease gradually. Release the button when the desired speed is reached. The speed will be saved.
If the button is released at speeds below 30 km/h, the stored values will be deleted. If desired, you can restore the system as described above by accelerating the vehicle to a speed exceeding 30 km/h.
You can increase the speed of the car without pressing the accelerator pedal. To do this, press the upper side of button B. A short press of the button will increase the speed of movement by one programmed step. If you keep the button pressed, the speed will increase gradually. Release the button when the desired speed is reached. The speed will be saved.
Temporary shutdown of the system
You can temporarily disable the system by moving switch A to the OFF position until it hits the spring. The previous speed is stored in memory. If switch A is released, the spring will return it to its previous position. To confirm the previous speed, press the top side of button B.
Complete system shutdown
The system can be completely disabled by moving switch A to the right (to the OFF position) or turn off the ignition.
General remarks
System «Cruise control» cannot maintain the set speed when driving downhill. The car will accelerate and you have to use the brakes.
Caution: When the system is on, do not shift into neutral without depressing the clutch pedal, otherwise the engine will over-rev and may be damaged.
