- Diesel engine: unscrew the oil filter cap. In this case, engine oil from the filter housing can drain into the engine sump.
- Suck the oil out of the engine sump through the dipstick tube using a suction syringe.
- If there is no oil drain syringe, drain the engine oil. To do this, raise the car in a horizontal position on the goats or put it over a viewing hole.

There is a risk of accident when lifting the vehicle! You must first read the section «Vehicle lifting».
- Remove bottom engine compartment cover.
- Place a container under the engine sump to drain the old oil.
Take care that when you remove the drain plug, hot oil does not run down your hand. Keep your hand horizontal when turning the cork out with your fingers.
- Unscrew drain plug at bottom of sump -arrow- and completely drain old oil.
Attention: If metal chips and wear products are found in the engine oil in large quantities, this indicates seizing, for example, main or connecting rod bearings. To avoid subsequent damage, the oil passages must be thoroughly cleaned after the engine has been overhauled. Additionally, if present, replace the oil cooler.
- After that, wrap the drain plug with a new sealing ring. Caution: Do not exceed the permitted tightening torque, as this can lead to leaks or damage.
Tightening torque: 30 Nm.
- Lower the car.
