- Precise dosing of the amount of fuel in each load mode, due to which low fuel consumption is achieved with a good power balance.
- Reduction of harmful components in the exhaust gases due to precise dosing of fuel and the use of an adjustable catalytic converter.
- Self-diagnosis of the injection system control unit, which allows you to quickly detect defects. The engine management system is equipped with a fault code memory. If defects occur during operation, the corresponding codes are recorded in a memory device. If the engine does not work flawlessly, in order to avoid unnecessary costs, you need to print out the fault codes at the service station, so that you can then repair the existing defects yourself if necessary.
The engine control unit is a small computer with high performance. It calculates the optimum ignition timing, fuel injection timing and the amount of fuel injected. In this case, the control unit is coordinated with other vehicle systems, for example, with the gearbox control system or with the anti-theft system.
Ignition and injection system components operate stably for a long time and require virtually no maintenance. The exceptions are the air filter element and spark plugs, which must be replaced as part of maintenance. Important adjustment and repair work is carried out only with the help of expensive measuring instruments, therefore these works can only be carried out in suitably equipped workshops.
