Removing
Remove the ignition distributor.
Remove fuel pump (see section "Removal and installation of the fuel pump").
Remove the coil spring from the ignition distributor actuator.
Remove the drive using a special tool with left-hand rotation.
Carefully remove the washers from below the drive shaft. With the motor installed, this is best done with a magnet, and with the motor removed, by turning the motor 180°. To prevent the washers from falling into the engine, they can be strung on a wire hook.
Installation
Before installation, check the working surfaces of the oil pump drive eccentric, as well as the gear rims of the drive for wear. Replace worn parts.
Set the ignition timing of the 1st cylinder. To do this, turn the crankshaft by the V-belt so that the ignition timing mark on the belt pulley coincides with the junction of the halves of the engine housing (see right arrow).
Carefully install the washers on the bottom of the drive shaft using a screwdriver.
Install the drive shaft so that the spline located in the middle of its end is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the engine, and the smaller segment is directed towards the belt pulley.
Install the spring with wire.
Install fuel pump.
Install the ignition distributor.
