Maintenance and inspection of spark plugs

Every 10,000 km, the spark plugs must be turned out and checked for: appearance, gap between the electrodes and the quality of the spark. During operation, due to metal burnout, the gap between the electrodes» increases. With an increased gap of candles; you need to turn it out, check the gap with a feeler gauge i, if necessary, adjust it by bending the side electrode. The gap between the electrodes of all spark plugs should be between 0.6 and 0.8 mm. Etc» heavily soiled candles can be cleaned» using a brass brush or, better, a sandblaster. The spark plug insulator must also be clean and dry.

Spark plugs must be replaced every 20,000 km.
