Protective covers of the engine and cylinders
Removing
Disconnect the left and right heating ducts between the fan housing and the heat exchanger.
Disconnect the carburetor heater warm air hoses.
Remove the lower belt pulley cover.
Remove the left and right halves of the casing of the intake manifold and the heating air duct. Carefully remove the casings, as the asbestos half-rings can stick to the heating duct.
Remove the rear engine cover.
Installation
Attach the lower belt pulley cover.
Install and secure the rear engine cover.
When installing half shells, make sure that the asbestos gaskets are not damaged and that they fit perfectly. The connecting fittings of the heat exchanger must not touch the motor protection cover to prevent knocking.
Connect air ducts.
Install the engine compartment seal carefully.
