Engage 2nd gear and loosen the bolts on the shift support.
Attention! When carrying out the following work, the engine and gearbox must be separated using the clutch. The assistant presses the clutch pedal.
Set the gearshift lever to the 2nd gear position. In this case, it should be perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and be tilted back at an angle of approximately 11°.
1 - switching support; 2 - thrust plate; 3 - gear lever
Using a screwdriver, move the thrust plate under the shifter until it rests against the collar on the shift lever (see arrow). The lever must not move in this position.
Tighten the screws on the switch support. Now the shift lever in 2nd gear should allow its lateral movement, measured on the lever handle, by approximately 1520 mm.
Turn on each of the gears several times. Switching should be carried out strictly at a right angle, observing the switching scheme. Diagonal movement of the lever is not allowed. Gears should shift easily and without jamming. Pay particular attention to the effectiveness of the reverse lock.
Pull the boot over the switch support.
